1 ‑ Temporary Full Time ‑ Employee Experience & Well-Being Intern

Human Resources

It is a condition of this posting that your home unit can accommodate your temporary absence in the event

you are successful.

Reporting to the Manager, Employee Experience & Well‑Being, the Intern will work closely with members of the

Human Resources department on various projects and assignments including the reward & recognition programming

and employee experience & well‑being initiatives. The Internship will provide a variety of experiences in the field of

human resources and employee well‑being and will include a mix of independent tasks and collaborative work with

the Human Resources team, staff, and leaders from across the organization.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

* Undergraduate degree or diploma in human resources, health administration, public health, health promotion, or

related field.

* Demonstrated interest and/or experience in health care, employee well‑being, or workplace wellness.

* Experience working in an administrative capacity an asset.

* A highly organized, results‑orientated individual with the ability to coordinate multiple activities and enjoys working in

a fast‑paced environment.

* A proactive team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision.

* Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, verbal, and written communication skills.

* Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint

* Experience using a computerized Human Resources/Payroll System and database reporting an asset.

Internship Eligibility Requirements:

* Must be a new entrant into the workforce, transitioning to a new career, or currently unemployed/underemployed

and entering a new field.

* Must have not previously participated in an NOHFC‑funded internship under the 2020 Mandate.

* Must be 18 years of age or older.

* Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

* Once hired, must reside in the Northern Ontario community in which they are employed.

Salary Range: $22.000

The Health Sciences Centre strives to ensure the safety and security of the patients, visitors, employees and assets
