Job Title: Senior Golang Developer
Location: Toronto, Canada (Hybrid – 2 to 3 days onsite per week)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Golang Developer to join our dynamic technology team in Toronto. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Golang development , with a focus on building scalable, event-driven applications. This role requires a hands-on engineer with experience working in hybrid cloud environments, integrating with event brokers, and delivering high-performance backend services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient and scalable backend services using Golang .
- Work with event-driven architectures and integrate with brokers such as Solace , Kafka , SNS/SQS , or RabbitMQ .
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, DevOps, QA, and product managers.
- Participate in code reviews and enforce best practices in software development.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, test, and production environments.
- Write unit tests, integration tests, and support CI/CD pipelines.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 3–5 years of hands-on Golang development experience in enterprise or cloud-native applications.
- Proven experience with Solace (preferred) or other brokers such as Kafka , Amazon SNS/SQS , or RabbitMQ .
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture , RESTful APIs, and event streaming patterns.
- Proficient with version control systems such as Git.
- Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) is desirable.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to CI/CD tools and practices.
- Experience in financial services or regulated industries.
- Knowledge of performance tuning and application profiling.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
