About the role

The Clerk IV provides complex clerical support. The Clerk IV performs these tasks in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 41 Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:

One year related post secondary certificate required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g., diploma in business or office administration, Unit Clerk). Proven experience with Covenant Health ESP and Automated Shift Callout software required. The role requires a solid understanding of various collective agreements utilized within Covenant Health such as UNA, CUPE, AUPE, AUNP and HSAA and related legislation, coupled with proven proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams, and internet applications. Excellent comprehension of the English language, both written and verbal is required and evaluated. High degree of customer service, both in-person and by phone/email, problem solving, conflict resolution, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills are required. Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and direction, within a team environment. Must have demonstrated ability to pay close attention to detail with a high level of accuracy. Must be able to have superior ability to organize and prioritize. Must be organized, flexible and able to prioritize tasks to meet the demands of changing deadlines. Must be able to work collaboratively with colleagues, partners, and clients to achieve shared goals. An excellent attendance record, reliability and personal suitability must be demonstrated through employment references. Current Cover Letter and Resume required in order to be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to applicants that have Covenant Health Automated Shift Callout and Timekeeper training and access.
