BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
EPSON Canada is dedicated to providing its customers with digital image innovation. Our main product lines are comprised of information-related equipment such as printers, scanners, projectors, home entertainment and electronic devices. Epson products are known throughout the world for their superior quality, functionality, compactness and energy efficiency.
We are seeking an Account Manager to call on and support our System Device Point of Sale Distribution Channel in Canada: BlueStar, ScanSource, and MS Cash Drawer. Individual will be responsible for building Epson top-line sales by meeting and exceeding sales quotas and increasing Epson brand awareness and market penetration, developing and coordinating sales activity to Authorized Epson Resellers within a defined territory, and overseeing all facets of reseller account and relationship management.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Meets or exceeds sales and product objectives in territory by effectively utilizing all resources available.
- Collaborates with Manager in development of sales plan.
- Establishes a strong Epson presence within account base at decision maker and management level.
- Interacts with all appropriate internal and external customers to insure successful implementation of sales and marketing strategies with the customer.
- Motivates all POS distribution reseller personnel to support sales and marketing efforts of Epson products.
- Identifies and understands the customer’s needs and provides solutions using Epson products, programs, and services.
- Designs and creates marketing programs consistent with corporate strategies that result in achievement of sales quotas and objectives within defined territory.
- Ensures that marketing funds are focused on programs that achieve desired product mix and ROI, and considers impact on all Epson channels of distribution.
- Participates in trade shows, reseller seminars and sales meetings.
- Identifies sales training needs of account and conducts training seminar.
- Resolves customer issues in a timely and thorough manner; escalates issues to manager as appropriate.
- Responsible for all administrative tasks relating to the Account Manager role, I.E., MDF, forecasting, status reports.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 5 years sales experience, preferably in computer technology
- Post-Secondary Education.
- Ability to build strong relationships with decision makers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in the Point of Sale industry is a plus
