Reporting to the Director of Accounting, the Billing and Collections Agent is responsible for preparing billing by collaborating with internal teams and ensuring compliance with budgets and contract terms. They manage the full accounts receivable cycle, from billing to receiving the final payment, following up as needed to meet contractual terms and provide end-of-project documentation.

There’s still a bit of work to do as well, such as :

• Prepare billing templates in advance of monthly payment applications;

• Ensure all administrative information in the ERP system aligns with contractual documentation;

• Issue monthly (progress) invoices for each project;

• Follow up on billing approvals;

• Send monthly statements of account;

• Ensure clients pay within prescribed timeframes;

• Enter payments into the system;

• Provide waivers/releases in a timely manner and follow up on payments;

• Ensure end-of-project documentation is prepared according to contract terms in order to release final payment

Required qualifications :

• 3 to 5 years of experience in billing and collections with similar responsibilities;
• A college diploma in a related field or equivalent experience in a construction company;
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records;
• Ease in communicating with clients by phone;
• Excellent command of both French and English, spoken and written;
• Proven decision-making, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
