An excellent Investment Manager demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Having has an established understanding of the agency’s checks and balances (approval processes) as determined by reporting manager. Will use judgement and decision making to represent the interests of the agency while working with others within the agency to validate appropriate approaches. He or she will be responsible for the day-to-day management of managers and assistants work, approving media plans and tactical executions, provide guidance, coaching and training with respect to job function.

The Role & Expectations

Client Engagement:

  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of assigned clients including detailed category, product knowledge and competitive landscape.
  • Work closely with Planning team members to guide the development of various planning and buying strategies.

Communication & Collaboration:

  • Rely on previous experience to help identify solutions and options to help guide those with final decision-making authority.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to yield positive results
  • At the forefront of the media landscape changes and analyzing and sharing thoughtful recommendations with internal stakeholders and clients alike
  • Create and present landscape presentations and POV’s

Accountability:

  • Access appropriate media tools to evaluate/analyze media opportunities and make recommendations to clients.
  • Ensure completion and accuracy of digital/ or broadcast reports, review results and prepare analysis as required.
  • Acquire knowledge of changes in assigned markets/media and communicate to internal stakeholders
  • A strong understanding of corporate agreements, preferred discounting, and procurement-related objectives
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information.

Financial Management:

  • Responsible for quality assurance across all accounts including budget and reporting accuracy.
  • Assists Senior team members in aspects of digital/ or broadcast executions within the buying process through to final execution. This will include historical cost data, negotiations, audience estimates and budget control
  • Assist in the negotiation and management of rate agreements, as required
  • Able to manage campaign-level budgets as well as overall client level budgets
  • Manage and be accountable for all financial aspects of campaigns
  • Contribute to overall agency-level and client-level budget exercises

Leadership:

  • Motivate team members to produce media work of the highest calibre and foster a productive work environment
  • Contribute and mentor junior team members in the development of results reporting and insight generation to help drive client decision making.
  • Taking appropriate risks and make tough decisions when required. Elevates issues to manager when necessary
  • Confident in ability to activate and lead, specifically tactical investment abilities

Media/Business Acumen:

  • Apply various quantitative methods to analyze and interpret information from multiple data sources while providing a layer of strategic thinking and insight generation.
  • Identify and develop tactical opportunities that meet client and corporate objectives through actionable insights derived from analytics

Your Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop tactical opportunities that meet client and corporate objectives through actionable insights derived from analytics
  • Apply various quantitative methods to analyze and interpret information from multiple data sources while providing a layer of strategic thinking and insight generation.
  • Contribute to the development of reporting and insight generation to help drive results
  • Manage relationship with key senior partner agency personnel when applicable
  • Conduct accurate data processing, analysis, interpreting results and making actionable recommendations
  • Oversee training and mentoring of Manager level down.
  • Participate in developing the analytics capabilities in the digital/ or broadcast media channels within the agency and with existing clients
  • Preparation and presentation of reports and strategic analyses to clients
  • Ensure utilization of PHD Research Tools in plan development
  • Assist in the training and development of junior staff, including assisting in the development of internal and external agency communication, data entry and documents to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Must be motivated, detail oriented, a good communicator, comfortable with following direction and able to produce a high quality of work to short deadlines

Key Qualifications

  • University education in marketing, communication or other relevant related fields.
  • Outstanding record of academic and professional achievement with 4+ years’ business experience in online and offline planning or buying experience with a strong understanding of digital media analytics
  • Experience with Infosys, DDS and Prisma Digital Management systems
  • Highly proficient in MS Office Suite, with emphasis on MS Excel.
  • Proven experience with Google Analytics and third-party ad-servers (e.g. Google Campaign Manager). Experience with other digital solutions (Omniture, WebTrends, Social Media monitoring) a bonus.
  • Knowledge of evaluation of marketing ROI, conversion funnel analysis and optimization
