Part Time On-Call Snow Plow Operator/Labourer

$27.27-$31.32 per hour
MANDATE:
Operate vehicles, equipment and tools to maintain County roads and bridges.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Valid Ontario Class “D” licence with “Z” air brake endorsement
· Satisfactory driving record.
· 1 - 2 years related progressive experience operating trucks.
· Successful completion of Heavy Equipment Operator course is considered an asset.
· Knowledge of Highway Traffic Act Regulation 575 (Commercial Motor Vehicle Inspections) and Regulation 555 (Hours of Service).
· Able to safely and skillfully operate a front-end loader and snow plowing with tandem truck plow/wing combination.
· Municipal work experience is considered an asset.
· Must be able to read industry guidelines.
· Effective written, verbal and listening, communications skills.
· Must have initiative and be capable of working with a minimum of supervision.
· Flexible work hours (able to work outside of normal hours).
This position is evaluated at Level 5 ($27.27 – $31.32) per hour on the 2025 OPSEU Salary Grid. Start date: September 2, 2025
