We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Clerical Support Associate to join our Outpatient Rehabilitation Unit .

Employment Status: Permanent Part Time Duration (if contract): NA Hours of Work: 8 hour shifts, Monday to Friday Location: Humber River Health, Wilson Site Labour Group: T eamsters Clerical Reporting Relationship: Manager, Ambulatory Medical Clinics and Allied Health Hourly Rate: $29.966 - $31.016

Position Responsibilities

  • Responsible for clerical support including; processing referrals, courtesy reminder calls, patient registration, maintenance of patient records, order entry and statistics.
  • Responsible for customer service including scheduling appointments, updating/creation of schedules in CWS, answering patient inquiries, telephone inquiries, greeting patients and visitors in a courteous manner.
  • Communicates with other departments and service areas
  • Orders supplies for program with manager’s approval.
  • Enters Time entry data in Payroll system for manager approval.
  • Oversees mail system, faxes, and photocopies
  • Other clerical duties as required.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Completion of a Community College Medical Secretary Diploma an asset.
  • Completion of a medical terminology course preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year full time equivalent recent clerical experience required .
  • Excellent keyboarding skills, with minimum typing speed of 40 WPM.
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, both oral and written
  • MEDITECH and Community Wide Scheduling computer experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills required , including an ability to prioritize a varied and busy workload. Demonstrated ability to cope and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a team environment
  • Knowledge of a second language an asset
  • Demonstrated customer service skills.
  • Applicants may be required to successfully complete full administrative testing, to include typing speed and MS Office.
  • Excellent attendance and discipline free record
