We’re Hiring: Sales Professional /Sales Lead

We are looking for a sales person that wants to keep selling but also take on the role of sales lead with a small team. The individual will be emotionally mature with experience selling into the cyclical Alberta economy. Good energy and relationship sales experience will go a long way in succeeding in this role. Ideally this individual would have 10 years sales experience and is looking for a long-term person with aspirations for continual growth, responsibility and compensation. This is a great opportunity for someone that thinks entrepreneurial, is creative in sales and wants to grow into a leadership role within the company.

This full-time role offers a competitive base salary plus commission and bonus opportunities, with first-year earnings typically ranging from $65,000 to $95,000 — and higher potential based on performance.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Selling advertising opportunities across our range of publications
  • Prospecting and qualifying new leads
  • Building long-term relationships with business owners and decision-makers
  • Creating customized proposals that meet client needs
  • Collaborating with our editorial and design teams to bring campaigns to life
  • Attending events and representing the magazine in the community
  • Leading two to three other sales people in reaching the goals of the magazines

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous sales experience (media or B2B sales is a bonus)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Professional, self-motivated, and goal-oriented
  • Comfortable prospecting and managing your own pipeline
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and CRM tools
  • A love for storytelling and supporting local businesses

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shift
