Lead Business Analyst
Thomson Reuters is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams by eliciting, analyzing, and documenting client business requirements while driving innovative solutions that enhance our technology offerings and client satisfaction.
About the role
As a Lead Business Analyst , you will be responsible for:
- Elicit, analyze, validate, and document clients' business needs and requirements using structured methodologies
- Review and write formal specifications, ensuring clear communication of business requirements between development teams and clients
- Specify and analyze client requirements to expert level of detail to ensure clarity and completeness of definition
- Monitor and utilize structured requirements processes to assess near-term business needs
- Design and implement comprehensive business solutions that align with client objectives
- Recommend and validate technical solutions based on thorough understanding of business impact and stakeholder implications
- Ensure implementation follows approved design specifications and direct design modifications as needed
- Oversee adherence to system assurance methodology throughout project lifecycle
- Develop and enhance business processes within technology and business organizations
- Research and analyze current processes, recommending cost-effective tools and solutions for implementation
- Proactively identify, recommend, and implement process improvements across project departments or divisions
- Participate in short-term planning sessions with clients to optimize business processes
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, including collaboration with Professional Services and outsourcing functions
- Ensure systematic change management and communication of changes to management and/or clients for complex projects
- Monitor and adhere to established metrics to ensure customer satisfaction and recommend new performance indicators
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced analysts
- Work on significant and unique issues requiring evaluation of intangibles and expert problem-solving capabilities
- Develop extensive understanding of multiple Thomson Reuters technologies, products, and services
About you:
You are a great fit for the Lead Business Analyst role, if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in business analysis or related role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience with requirements gathering and documentation tools
- Knowledge of business process improvement methodologies
- Experience in financial services or information technology industry
- Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA, or similar)
- Familiarity with Thomson Reuters products and services
- Experience with change management practices
- Project management experience
