Position Overview The QA Test Engineer ensures that software products meet quality standards through the design, execution, and documentation of test plans and test cases. This role exists to provide structured, methodical quality assurance that supports the delivery of reliable, high-performing, and user-ready software. It plays a vital role in identifying issues early in the development cycle and contributes to continuous improvement in software development practices.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements and technical specifications.

Execute functional, regression, and exploratory tests to ensure product quality across web, mobile, and/or backend systems.

Identify, document, and track software defects using the team's chosen defect tracking system (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira).

Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to review requirements, clarify acceptance criteria, and align on quality goals.

Participate in sprint ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, retrospectives) to contribute to test planning and risk assessment.

Analyze test results and provide clear, actionable feedback to development teams.

Assist in the creation and improvement of QA processes and documentation. (Occasional, <20%) Support UAT planning and coordination for business stakeholders.(Occasional, <10%) Review or support automated test scripts, if applicable- Other duties as required within the context of the role. Qualifications Required:

3–5 years of experience in software quality assurance or software testing.

Strong knowledge of test planning, test case design, and test execution.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Familiarity with defect tracking systems and QA tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in documenting test plans and reporting defects.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Experience in API testing (e.g., using Postman, Swagger).
Nice to Have:
- Basic knowledge of test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) or interest in automation concepts.
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) environments.
- Understanding of healthcare, finance, or other regulated domains is an asset.
