As the Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for providing effective leadership, oversight, and risk mitigation relating to all legal matters for the Cardel Group of Companies (Canada and USA) with specific focus on all corporate, commercial, real estate, and banking matters.

Responsibilities
- Evaluate new business partnerships with vendors and subcontractors.
- Design and oversee the company’s policy and position on legal matters.
- Protect the company against legal risks and violations.
- Examine the legal issues related to new products and services.
- Negotiate deals on behalf of the company.
- Guide management on regulatory and compliance issues to ensure compliance with legal regulations.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate Degree and LLB or JD Degree
- 7+ years of relevant work experience in corporate commercial, real estate, and/or banking law working with private industry clientele
- Experience in land development or residential construction considered an asset
