Industrial Plastics & Paints is hiring a full-time Customer Service Representative (CSR). This person will work directly with customers in-store to serve their needs at our Richmond, BC branch. Saturday availability is mandatory.

The ideal candidate has great communication skills, experience working with the general public in a sales or retail customer-service role.

Our most successful employees enjoy problem solving and are makers themselves with personal experience using the type of products we stock and sell.

We are eager to help you learn and train on the specifics of our products, if you are able to think quickly on your feet and are flexible to a wide-range of retail job demands.

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

• Genuinely care about providing our customers with technical assistance in selecting the best product solution.

• Work safely with at all times with shop equipment.
• Be respectful, direct and make decisions in the best interest of the customer.
• Available to work full-time. Availability on Saturday is required.

Capabilities:

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Ask detailed application questions to customers to provide technical guidance and advice about product solutions for their project need.
• Handle Cash and use POS to enter sales transactions.
• Read and follow blueprints and drawings.
• Create detailed hand-sketches with dimensions from customer's verbal instructions.

OUR LOCATIONS: We operate from the following locations in Western Canada.

Corporate Stores: Kelowna, Victoria, Richmond, Port Coquitlam.

Franchise Partners: Nanaimo, Courtenay, Calgary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

• Richmond, BC V6V 3C3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
