About the role
Bison Drivers are paid every week, on time! Running open-board, Canada/U.S. long-haul this position requires you to be on the road 5 to 10 days at a time averaging 12,000 miles per month (as freight volumes allow). Resets on the road as required.
- Southbound freight could depart into any of the lower 48 states
- Northbound freight could go into any of the Canadian Provinces and Territories
- Required to drive on Highway 17 in Ontario 12 months of the year
- Required to drive in California, and U.S. Mountains 12 months of the year
- Assigned unit requires 24 days on the road per month
- Regional freight will be required
- Flexible schedule requiring weekend departures
- Must be able to haul all commodities including meat and alcohol
Candidate Profile:
- Company Driver with 24 months tractor-trailer experience
- Must be U.S. qualified
- Must have a minimum of 6 months U.S. driving experience
- Must have a minimum of 6 months Highway 17 experience
- Must be eligible for a FAST card
- Must be able to work weekends
- Must have a valid Class 1/AZ License
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more, Driver assist is required on occasion
- B.C. Mountain experience is an asset
- Reliable, flexible, and punctual
- Strong communication skills
- Values safety
