The Opportunity:

We are seeking two (2) Service Writers/Purchasers to add to our maintenance team. One position will be out of our Leduc shop and the other out of our Ft. McMurray shop. This person is the primary point of contact for order placement and work order creation. Scheduling outside service repairs. The focused responsibilities are to prioritize repair work orders accurately and promptly. Parts purchasing/sourcing, receiving, job costing, purchase orders, and tracking repairs are critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Schedule outside repairs, take part orders from internal team and operations,
• Monitor service progress, calculate charges and receive parts.
• Communicate with the shop foreman regarding repair progress and immediate priorities.
• Promptly and accurately create and close work orders for maintenance department.
• Promptly and accurately receive purchase orders for internal and external repair jobs.
• Accurately track equipment repair costs through purchase orders and work orders.
• Work with the shop foreman to maintain adequate levels of shop supplies.
• Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers.
• Assist shop foreman and management with compliance including internal policies, procedures and SOPs, WHMIS, TDG, forklift and crane training, etc.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of water trucks, semi-vacs, hot oilers etc. required.
• Proficiency with industry-specific software
• 3-5 years experience
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A strong sense of integrity, reliability, and professionalism
• Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• The ability to communicate with mechanics, customers, and management
• Possess strong computer skills, able to read, write, and comprehend written instructional documents in English
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
