THE ROLE – FULL SERVICE VENDING REPRESENTATIVE - ST. JOHN'S METRO REGION

Browning Harvey Ltd. currently has an opening for the position of a Full Service Vending Representative based in the St. John's, NL area.

Specific responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following:

  • To deliver products to customer locations.
  • Ensure all customers deliveries are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that vendors are audited on a regular schedule/effectively manage cash control.
  • Maintain delivery vehicle in a clean and effective manner.
  • To promote and develop the full line vending business.
  • To promote and effectively manage full distribution of product in the assigned territory.
  • To promote and foster Browning Harvey Limited’s role in the liquid refreshment beverage category.
  • Visit all new businesses and acquire new clientele / maintain current clientele.
  • Ensure regular maintenance on vehicles and equipment is completed consistently.
  • Ensure customer records are completed, maintained and communicated/filed accordingly.
  • Meet or surpass company developed sales objectives.
  • Minimize theft of equipment and other company property.
  • Conduct and effectively manage Audit and cash control relative to Browning Harvey Ltd.’s Full Service Vending business.
  • Maintain relationship with existing customers, ensuring they are content and confident with Browning Harvey Limited.
  • Identify, sell-in, execute and maintain business development opportunities with FSV customers.
  • Identify/Expand upon business growth opportunities and offerings in existing FSV Accounts.
  • Focus on and execute on-going single drink/591 ml. business development opportunities and initiatives. within the FSV segment in metro St. John’s area.
  • Continuously check for out-of-date products. Keep stock rotated as per company policy.
  • Acquire new equipment contracts where necessary.
  • Other Duties as Assigned.

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Ideally, Degree or Diploma in Business or Marketing, or relevant sales experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with air brake endorsement.
  • Pass high level security validation for specific customers.
  • Strong sales, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand and effectively manage all other data related to profitable sales activities, and on-going business development.
  • Strong people skills including effective communications.
  • Ability to utilize and fully leverage internal computer systems.
  • Effective Fact-Based Selling skills
  • Ability to make in store fact based sales presentations
  • Strong customer relationship skills

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Ability to work in a multitask environment.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively under stressful situations.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as a member of the Browning Harvey Sales team.

  • Ability to understand and work with diverse groups of people and clients.
  • Strong knowledge of consumer products and market.
  • Ability to work on a flexible schedule based on business requirements.
  • Thorough knowledge of vending machines.
