Claims Manager, Delegated Authority
Here is what a typical day looks like

Provide guidance and coaching to your team, identifying succession goals

Manage group and individual claims adjudication process, including reviewing and delegating open files
-
Investigate, evaluate, negotiate and settle large or complex property, auto, casualty and liability claims
-
Manage, coordinate and control the Claims Handling Authorities granted by insurers, including supervision of Claims Bordereau’s
-
Determine coverage, establishing and maintaining claims reserves and processing payments within established authority levels
-
Participate and support new product development, including developing, interpreting, and training of new policy wordings
-
Manage and ensure performance of the delegated authority

Develop and maintain claims systems, procedures and service standards

Responsible for vendor management and adherence to our established Service Level Agreements

Liaise as our company representative with all external insurance partners

Champion, communicate and implement corporate initiatives, policies and procedures

Review weekly and monthly KPI’s and make recommendations to meet targets, including pricing and loss ratios
The value you bring

General Insurance Level 2 License required; CAIB/CIP preferred

If you do not have a license it must be acquired within three months of your start date

Progressive diversified career within Claims including large commercial loss

You have led a team of adjusters previously; you understand how to stay connected with a remote team and know how to change your approach to engage different personality types

Intuitive understanding of policy wordings and coverages
-
roficiency with technology such as Microsoft Office products is an asset
Hours: 37.5 hours/week – Full Time, Permanent
Location: Remote in Canada
Salary range: $95,000 - $105,000 (negotiable)
