About the role

A career within Cybersecurity and Privacy services will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients implement an effective cybersecurity program that protects against threats, propels transformation, and drives growth. As companies pivot toward a digital business model, exponentially more data is generated and shared among organizations, partners, and customers. We play an integral role in helping our clients ensure they are protected by developing transformation strategies focused on security, efficiently integrate and manage new or existing technology systems to deliver continuous operational improvements and increase their cybersecurity investment, and detect, respond, and remediate threats. PwC’s Strategy and Risk Cybersecurity Team is recognized as the preeminent cybersecurity services firm in Canada. We have working relationships with many of Canada's largest organizations across all industries.

Meaningful work you’ll be part of

As a Cybersecurity Strategy and Risk Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain an informed opinion about our client's best strategic direction for their security program.

  • Engage technical competency teams to bring the right resources to support our clients..

  • Collaborate with PwC and client teams to achieve desired outcomes.

  • Communicate expectations and manage deviations during engagements.

  • Deliver high-quality work aligned with PwC standards.

  • Monitor project financials and timelines to ensure profitability and timely delivery.

  • Identify and mitigate potential risks during project execution.

  • Coach PwC team members to build their knowledge and skills

Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve

Consulting Acumen

  • Strong client service experience.

  • Ability to manage a range of stakeholders.

  • Experience delivering cybersecurity services in consulting environments.

  • High client satisfaction orientation.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Experience presenting in business contexts.

  • Ability to develop consulting methodologies and frameworks.

Cybersecurity Skills

  • Familiarity with frameworks like NIST CSF and OSFI B-13.

  • Experience in Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) activities.

  • Understanding of cybersecurity domains such as: Data protection; Identity and access management

  • Application and cloud security

  • Vulnerability management

  • Business continuity

  • Awareness of transformative technologies like AI.

  • Cybersecurity experience across industries such as financial services, telecom, power, technology, and retail.
