SCOPE
Reporting to Manager, Data Centers and Endpoint, the incumbent is accountable for all support and evolution of our MDM platform. Responsible for level 2 and level 3 support, as well as the platform management. The incumbent will be involved in the evolution strategy of our mobile device management. The incumbent will also work with the ITAM team to manage the mobile devices inventory and standards.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in the road map planning with the direct supervisor; develop an annual plan and define annual group objectives.
- Meet with clients to discuss and consult on system requirements and specifications; interface with University staff to ensure effective communications of project status on major initiatives.
- Assist with technology standardization and acquisition initiatives and manage proactively maintenance & support contracts.
- Participate in the development and implementation of information security best practices.
- Manage the enrollment process for new mobile devices, ensuring proper provisioning and configuration.
- Deploy, configure, and manage Mobile Device Management solutions to ensure the secure and efficient use of mobile devices.
- Manage the distribution and updates of mobile applications and software, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements.
- Monitor the performance and usage of mobile devices, generating reports and insights to support decision-making and optimization.
- Collaborate with IT teams, security personnel, and other stakeholders to ensure the integration of mobile device management into overall IT infrastructure and security strategies.
- Represents the University on external committees.
- Assist in the development and documentation of mobile device usage policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance requirements Conduct training sessions for end-users to promote awareness of mobile device security best practices and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree, with preference given to a degree in Computer Science with four to seven years of relevant systems experience.
- Certification in Mobile Device Management or relevant areas.
- Demonstrated project management experience in technology deployment projects.
- Proficiency with InTunes.
- Demonstrated planning, organizational and decision-making skills, coupled with the ability to establish and respond to priorities.
- Good knowledge (Level 4) of spoken and written English and good knowledge (Level 4) of spoken French. A high degree of competence in written English, with the ability to communicate technical specifications and descriptions.
- Proven planning and organizing skills and result-orientation.
- Strong analytical, design and problem-solving skills.
- Strong process and work organization rigor and discipline. Proficiency with Jamf an asset.
