Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remediation and Reclamation Coordinator to join our Edmonton-based team. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of remediation and reclamation projects from strategy development through regulatory closure, working with a collaborative team of environmental professionals. This role will focus primarily on office-based responsibilities, with occasional field work as required.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage work plans, cost estimates, and technical strategies for Phase 2 ESAs, remediation and reclamation projects.

Interpret and apply applicable provincial regulations (e.g., Alberta Tier 1 and Tier 2 guidelines).

Review and prepare technical reports including Phase 2 ESAs, remediation action plans, and reclamation certificate applications.

Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior staff.

Coordinate with field teams and subcontractors to ensure efficient, safe, and compliant project execution.

Track project progress, budgets, and data using Matidor, ESdat, and SiteView.

Liaise with clients, regulators, and landowners in a professional and timely manner.
Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in environmental consulting, with a strong focus on remediation and reclamation in Alberta.

Eligible for professional designation with APEGA, ASPB, or AIA.

Proficient in the use of ESdat, Matidor, and SiteView (or similar project/data management platforms).

Experience using the SST model is considered an asset.

Strong technical writing and data interpretation skills.

Solid understanding of Alberta's regulatory landscape and end-of-life closure requirements.

Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
