Specific Responsibilities:

  • Review AMR based program execution plans and progress within Samuel Automation to ensure consistent, quality delivery at GM% at or exceeding as quoted
  • Manage, train and guide ASI team members Develop, manage, and consistently communicate a training and enablement strategy for ASI capabilities, companywide, to support the continued growth of our AMR business
  • Act as the primary technical stakeholder in our AMR and software ecosystem partnerships
  • Oversee detailed solution designs of AMR systems to meet the customer requirements.
  • Lead team members for the commissioning & integration of AMR systems at client facilities
  • Review acceptance test plans for validation of system functionality and performance.
  • Optimize project and team performance through analysis, simulation, and experimentation.
  • Ensure ASI team members stay current with relevant training and certifications
  • Collaborate with the AMR solutions product manager to evaluate and define the criteria and decisions regarding the 3 rd party ecosystem (partnerships) that we build
  • Ability to travel for business within North America for installations and meet with ASI team members who may be local or remote

Additional responsibilities:

  • Produce new product requirements based on the lessons learned from design and commissioning
  • Work with the engineering teams to design and develop new solutions
  • Ensure that all activities are performed with highest ethical standards and in compliance with Samuel business policies
  • Ensure adherence to both internal and customer site health and safety rules and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Strong people skills and the ability to communicate effectively verbally and written
  • Strong leadership skills including training, coaching and mentoring
  • 7+ years of experience commissioning & integrating industrial automated equipment or software that interfaces to the equipment
  • 2+ years of experience leading teams and/or managing teams

Education:

  • College/University diploma or degree in an engineering, design, or industrial controls or related discipline

Experience :

  • Experience leading project teams through customer installation and commissioning
  • Experience working directly with clients/end-users
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repairing electro-mechanical systems/subsystems
  • Interpretation & analysis of mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
  • PLC design and integration experience including experience with various Controls platforms (i.e. Allen Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, Omron etc.)
  • Experience with AMR/AGV systems integration
  • Training users of automated equipment/software
