JOB TYPE: Permanent – Full Time - EVENINGS
PROVINCE: Alberta

Summary:

We are a mid-sized company located in Edmonton focusing on engineering, design product development and manufacturing. We design, engineer, and manufacture high-performance connection solutions for projects across North America. We are seeking a full time CNC Plasma/ Press Brake Operator to join our busy shop. The successful candidate will be proficient in CNC controls and plasma cutting operations. Attention to detail and good communication skills are a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Fulfill work orders.
  • Work with other CNC Operator and Production Supervisor to manage priority level of work orders.
  • Read technical drawings and set up the machines as per those detail drawings.
  • Ensure all dimensions are accurate and perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications.
  • Enter CNC Files onto the nesting software to prepare for cutting, quantities of material needed and output to the cutting table.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise.
  • Track and record production.
  • Operate forklift when needed.
  • Track and record inventory and offcuts.
  • Staging material in priority sequence for work orders in the ques to minimize machine downtime.
  • Help select and transport material to work area manually or using a crane or forklift.
  • Assist with preparing and maintaining production equipment for operation.
  • Cutting and removal of scrap material.
  • General labour duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work evening shift.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is required.
  • Must have strong attention to detail.
  • Familiar with interpreting technical drawings.
  • Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems that arise.
  • Should have a positive attitude and ability to work with others.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work night shift 11:30pm - 8:00am

Please note trailing schedule would be 3:30pm - 12am for one week before moving to a night shift.
