Who you are

  • The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver with a strong technical foundation in modern development practices, has a passion for workflow automation with experience building and shipping low-code tooling solutions to business problems, and a curiosity for emerging technologies such as AI and open-source tooling
  • They work well in collaborative environments, take ownership of their solutions, and are driven to build tools that enable others to do their best work
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in software development, automation, or low/no-code tooling, ideally within eCommerce or technical support domain
  • Very strong knowledge or experience with SQL, Python, JavaScript, and general Web 2.0 techniques
  • Practical experience with Git
  • Familiarity with UI/UX design principles
  • Knowledge of API integration and authentication methods
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work well in a distributed team environment
  • Strong self-starter with a desire for continuous learning
  • Strong desire to produce high quality business solutions
  • Specific hands-on experience with Retool or similar low code platforms is preferred
  • Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as React or component libraries
  • Understanding of system design, role-based access, and infrastructure basics
  • Interest in or experience with AI-driven tools for process and workflow automation
  • Exposure to business operations, internal SaaS tools, or process automation platforms, with an understanding of how these technologies support business efficiency

What the job involves

  • As a Low Code Developer, you will work daily with our operations analysts to build tools to automate processes, improve operational efficiency, and reduce toil
  • This is a hands-on development role focused on building, testing, maintaining, and deploying applications. The engineer will also be responsible for documenting solutions and supporting internal adoption
  • The Low Code Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining low-code solutions for improving business workflows
  • Design, build, and maintain internal tools using platforms such as Retool, Zapier, or similar low-code frameworks
  • Collaborate with business operations, R&D developers, and architects to implement scalable, user-friendly applications
  • Implement backend functionality using JavaScript, SQL, and Python
  • Create and optimize queries, data models, and UI components to support internal processes
  • Integrate third-party and internal REST APIs into tooling workflows
  • Contribute to the development of secure middleware to expose internal APIs, handle token-based authentication, and facilitate integration with third-party services and systems
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to data flow, integrations, and application behavior
  • Participate in system upgrades, platform migrations, and release cycles as needed
  • Test and debug applications in conjunction with end users
  • Conduct reviews of internal tools for performance, code quality, and maintainability
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and implementation guidance to help solve any technological problems which arise
  • Work closely with the Low Code Development Lead to align technical deliverables with project objectives
  • Write technical documentation, developer guides, and user training materials as needed
