Responsibilities
· Design, develop, and debug firmware for embedded systems using C/C++ or Assembly.
· Work with microcontrollers (e.g., ARM, PIC, Cold-fire) or SoCs.
· Integrate and test firmware with custom hardware.
· Optimize code for performance, memory, and power efficiency.
· Implement and maintain device drivers, communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, RS485, USB, BLE).
· Develop and run unit tests and integration tests to validate firmware functionality.
· Participate in code reviews and contribute to documentation.
· Collaborate with team to define system architecture and requirements.
· Investigate and resolve firmware bugs and field issues.
· Testing & evaluation of hardware prototypes
· Support manufacturing with firmware-related debugging or provisioning scripts.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
· Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems.
· Solid understanding of microcontroller architecture, RTOS, and interrupt handling.
· Experience with debugging tools (JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
· Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
· Experience with real time operating systems MQX, or other embedded operating systems.
· Knowledge of bootloaders, firmware-over-the-air (FOTA) updates.
· Exposure to scripting languages like Python or Perl.
· Exposure to hardware design & development.
· Understanding of safety standards or regulatory compliance
· 5 years experience
