Job Opportunity: Multi-Line Farm Underwriter

About the Role

Germania Mutual Insurance is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Farm Underwriter to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced insurance professional with a background in Farm insurance. Mutli-line Farm and Commercial underwriting will be the intended role, but we are primarily looking for an individual with agricultural sales/service, and/or underwriting experience at this time. In this role, you will assess and underwrite Farm and Commercial risks, collaborate with brokers, and contribute to the development of underwriting strategies that align with our organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and underwrite Farm insurance applications in accordance with company guidelines and risk appetite.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers through responsive service and clear communication.

• Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and reinsurance requirements.

• Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education or equivalent business experience.

• Completion or active pursuit of the CIP designation.

• Minimum three years of experience in the Insurance Industry.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.

• Experience with Guidewire and familiarity with the Mutual insurance industry are considered assets.
