About the role

Location: Thunder Bay, ON

Division: Nucor Rebar Fabrication Canada

Position Overview

Our Thunder Bay branch is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused team player to join our dynamic operation. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, organization, and flow of material and paperwork from shop to site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tag all rebar orders accurately and in a timely manner
  • Assist with retail orders including:
  • Preparing quotes
  • Tagging materials
  • Generating order paperwork
  • Collecting payments
  • Print and organize all shop and delivery drawings
  • Reconcile retail inventory and shipment records
  • Process and coordinate inspection requests as needed
  • Support some purchasing functions
  • Act as a backup for other administrative roles within the branch
  • Schedule deliveries in coordination with trucking partners and job sites
  • Maintain well-organized and accurate job and delivery records
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support branch operations

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Friendly and professional phone manner; strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
