Job Title: Senior Manager, Integrated Management Systems & Engineering

Department: Quality Assurance

Reports to: Director, Global Quality Assurance

Job Purpose: The Senior Manager, Integrated Management Systems & Engineering is a senior leadership role responsible for architecting and executing the company’s enterprise-wide quality, compliance, and safety strategies across global manufacturing operations. With direct accountability for Integrated Management Systems (IMS), Supplier Quality, Data Analytics, Environmental Compliance, Occupational Health & Safety (EHS), and Quality Assurance Engineering, this role is integral to ensuring regulatory compliance, driving customer satisfaction, and enabling operational efficiency across North America, Europe, Asia, and globally in commensurate with growth.

This role leads a multidisciplinary team and is positioned to partner with executive leadership, product development, operations, and external stakeholders, while interfacing across key functions to drive alignment and deliver results. It carries high visibility and requires a strategic, data-driven, and regulatory-savvy leader capable of balancing technical excellence, business priorities, and risk mitigation in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Additionally, the role also plays a critical part in preparing the organization for future scalability, digital transformation, and global growth.

Key Job Functions:

  • Provide executive-level oversight, leadership and mentorship to teams across Quality Assurance, Environmental, Health & Safety, and Quality Engineering disciplines. Build organizational capability, drive performance culture, and ensure leadership succession plans are in place.
  • Lead the governance and continual improvement of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 systems, collectively, the Integrated Management System (IMS) ensuring global compliance, audit readiness, and risk mitigation. Embed quality principles into operations, ensuring sustainability of certifications.
  • Design and execute a forward-looking enterprise Quality and Compliance Strategy that incorporates industry best practices and strategic plans to drive First Time Yield (FTY), DPPM reduction, warranty cost minimization, and Zero-Defect initiatives across internal manufacturing and the supply base, while improving On-Time Delivery (OTD) and reducing waste throughout the value chain.
  • Implement and govern root cause analysis and CAPA systems, ensuring structured problem-solving, prevention of recurrence, and closure of major quality issues across internal teams and suppliers.
  • Lead advanced analytics and real-time quality reporting initiatives, including Power BI dashboards for performance metrics, predictive insights, and executive-level scorecard tracking.
  • Ensure quality integration into New Product Development (NPD) and lifecycle processes through strategic partnerships with PDT, Operations, Procurement, and Customer Solutions teams.
  • Oversee Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety (EHS) compliance programs while driving alignment with corporate ESG goals, sustainability initiatives, and regulatory reporting obligations. Leverage data analytics to identify and correlate cross-functional risk indicators such as trends in strain injuries with operational practices, enabling proactive risk management and continuous improvement.
  • Chair Quality Management Reviews (QMRs), establish annual objectives and KPIs, and present performance summaries and risk assessments to the Senior Management Team and Executive-level leadership.
  • Develop and execute supplier quality strategies, including global audits, onboarding standards, continuous improvement programs, and risk-based corrective actions.
  • Lead enterprise-wide continuous improvement initiatives, including Six Sigma, Lean, and digital transformation projects aligned to company “ROCKs” and strategic business goals.
  • Serve as the senior company representative in external audits, government regulatory inspections, and customer quality meetings, safeguarding company reputation and stakeholder trust.
  • Support enterprise initiatives as directed by the SMT, including global expansion readiness, and implementation of integrated compliance platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education:

    o Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience in an engineering or technical capacity (mandatory)
    o Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or MBA (preferred)

  • Minimum Years of Experience:

o 15+ years of progressive experience in Quality, Engineering, or Compliance roles
o Minimum 7 years in a senior leadership capacity within manufacturing or consumer product sectors
o Preferred: 10+ years in Gas, Electric, or Consumer Appliance product environments
o Demonstrated success in ISO 9001/14001/45001 systems across multiple sites
o Proven track record of managing high-impact teams across geographies and disciplines

  • Certifications Required:

o ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence
o ISO 9001/14001/45001 Lead Auditor

  • Certifications Preferred:

o ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
o Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Certification

  • Computer Software Requirement:

o Advanced Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
o Business Intelligence tools (Power BI or equivalent)
o ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics 365 or SAP)
o Quality Management Software (QMS), Audit and CAPA tools

  • Specialized Skills:

o IMS Lead Auditor Certificate
o Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing comprehension
o Statistical Process Control concepts
o Strong project management and strategic planning capability
o Excellent technical writing, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills

Other:

  • Must be highly self-motivated, hands-on and comfortable operating in both executive boardrooms and production floors
  • Global travel expected to suppliers, manufacturing sites, and customer locations when required
  • Strong understanding of provincial/federal legislation and environmental regulation framework (i.e. OHS Act, WSIB processes, MOL guidelines, CSA)
  • Familiarity with ergonomic risk tools, job demands analysis and workplace accommodation strategies
