We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Controller to join our Support Office team. As a key member of the Finance leadership team, the Assistant Controller partners with functional teams to ensure the integrity, delivery, and collection of financial data and financial statements. This role is responsible for developing financial statements as well as performing financial analysis to clearly explain business performance to multiple stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
What you will do:
- Collect, review, and deliver effective financial reporting, including monthly and annual business unit financial statements
- Apply accounting techniques and standard practices to classify and record financial transactions and prepare financial reports
- Prepare P&L analysis and clearly communicate business performance drivers
- Oversee and execute payments to business partners
- Assist with daily cash management operations
- Participate and support the commodity tax preparation process and ensure compliance
- Prepare, evaluate and ensure completion of budget files as part of the annual process
- Support the external audit processes
- Lead, support and develop the Accounts Payable team
- Implement and monitor financial/accounting internal controls across the business to reduce financial and business risk
- Partner with business and finance teams to identify, develop and implement process simplification, standardization, and automatization of financial and risk reporting to improve effectiveness and efficiency

What you bring:
- Chartered Professional Accounting (CPA) designation
- 3 to 4 years of related work experience, including supervisory/leadership experience
- Demonstrated experience working with various financial and business systems to monitor business activities and aid in decision making
- Clear ability to communicate, influence and build trust with partners at all levels in the organization
- Experience developing and implementing process optimization, standardization, and automation
