About the role
Chez Christophe Chocolaterie Patisserie is an award winning pastry shop situated in North Burnaby. Throughout the past 12 years we have acquired a reputation as one of Vancouver's sweet-spot destinations. Our product range features fine handmade chocolates, chocolate show pieces, macarons, high-end French pastries and viennoiserie all of which are handmade onsite. We also offer a full espresso-based coffee bar.
The Chez Christophe FOH team offers an exceptional level of service to our guests by combining a high level of product knowledge with a passion for the collections we offer! Professionalism, a friendly engaging manner, strong communication and effective interpersonal skills are imperative. The right candidate must be highly motivated and committed to growing with a small business and looking for ways to grow within their role. Knowledge of chocolate, pastry or espresso is an asset!
This position offers competitive wages, benefits following 6 months of full-time employment and opportunities to ameliorate the business in the areas of leadership.
Skills we are looking for
* You are passionate about desserts and coffee
* Creating espresso-based coffee and chocolate beverages to our specifications - latte art is a bonus!
* Packaging and stocking our full range of retail products. Visual merchandising skills, ability to multi-task and attention to detail is essential for this position!
* Great communication skills
Work hours are Tuesday to Saturday within 8.3am to 5.30pm. Closed Sunday/Monday
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $17.50-$18.50 per hour
