About the role

We’re looking for an ambitious Junior Accountable to join our Finance department . In this role, you’ll be primarily responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance in a multi-company environment.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, you’ll get to work on a variety of tasks across bookkeeping, financial reporting, and database management—gaining exposure to core accounting functions while building a strong foundation for your career.

What you’ll do:

  • Performing entry-level bookkeeping and accounting tasks.
  • Performing a variety of accounting functions in areas such as accounts payable, accounts receivable and project accounting in a multi-company, multi-currency environment.
  • Assisting with accurate reporting, filing, and database management in multiple systems.
  • Assisting in reviewing and reconciling the general ledger, identifying and thoroughly investigating any discrepancies and taking the proper corrective actions to resolve them.
  • Posting journal and or voucher entries.
  • Reconciling accounts and confirms accuracy.
  • Verifying, sorting, posting and checking claims/bills/invoices as required.

What You'll Have:

  • 1+ year of experience in a similar role.
  • The ability to multitask and prioritize different tasks at once.
  • Are an awesome problem solver; you get satisfaction out of fixing and solving issues at hand.
  • Thrive on taking charge of your own work.
  • A strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Excel and the willingness to learn new formulas if unfamiliar.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A solid understanding of basic accounting concepts and terms.

Bonus Points:

  • Enrolled in or planning to enrol in CPA program
  • Experience working in a fast-paced tech company

In determining salary, we consider many factors including the successful candidate’s skillset and experience as well as internal equity. The salary range for this position is $50,000 to $ 60,000, with the upper portion typically reserved for tenured employees who have developed extensive job knowledge and expertise within the company.
