About the role
Position Name – Sr. Technical Analyst
Type of hiring – Fulltime
Location – Toronto, ON (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)
Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Analyze the existing Python/React application architecture and workflows to extract functional and non-functional requirements.
- Conduct interviews, workshops, and technical walkthroughs with business users, developers, product owners, and QA teams.
- Translate business needs into detailed BRDs, use cases, process flows, wireframes, and user stories.
- Document system behavior, API interactions, data models, and UI/UX requirements in a structured format.
- Identify gaps, dependencies, and integration points across the system and recommend design improvements.
- Maintain traceability between business needs, requirements, and implementation.
Experience
- 7+ Years of proven experience in writing Business Requirement Documents and Functional Specifications
- Ability to read and interpret source code, API documentation, and database schemas
- Understanding of Python and React.js code
- Proficiency in tools like Confluence, JIRA for documentation and workflow mapping
- Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and caching systems (Redis)
- Familiarity with working in AWS environment
