Title: Advisor, Shared Secretariat
Salary: $74,663 - $93,328 - $102,660 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours (core hours Mon-Fri 9am-3pm)
Location: Park Royal office – on the ancestral Coast Salish Territories of the Squamish, Musqueam & Tsleil-Wuatuth Nations. Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy.
About the role
As Advisor, Shared Secretariat, you will provide strategic advice and support to management, staff, the First Nations Health Council and the First Nations Health Directors Association. You will provide analysis’ and recommendations to address strategic and operational issues. Also, you will lead appropriate research initiatives and prepares briefing notes, briefings, reports. As well as you will build and maintain working relationships with management, staff, members and other stakeholders.
About you
Education
- University degree in public policy, political science, First Nations governance, or related discipline plus 4-6 years of relevant specialized experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Experience
- Relevant and recent experience in providing written advice, communication tools, briefings or published papers
- Relevant and recent experience in project management supporting projects and small teams
- Experience in research, report and publications writing
- Experience with public health and policy is an asset

Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.
The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
