Registered Veterinary Technician, RVT
Location: Victoria, BC
Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital is recruiting full-time RVTs at our 24-hour ER & Specialty Referral Centre.
This role works closely with our ER DVMs and board-certified specialists in a fast-paced, stimulating, world-class medical environment. Successful candidates will display strong leadership, a desire to grow their skills, a positive teamwork-type attitude and a personality that can deliver exceptional customer service and communication skills. This position requires flexibility to work on a rotating schedule; however, it also affords a great work-life balance.
New grads are welcome to apply and will benefit from a teaching environment that includes mentorship from experienced RVTs, advanced learning opportunities with our two board-certified criticalists, and specialized anesthesia training with our anesthesia-focused RVT and board-certified anesthesiologist.
Additional qualifications and attributes you must embrace to be successful in this role:
- Registered Veterinary Technician, RVT or eligible to register
- Perform clinical procedures; Venipuncture, Catheter placement, radiology, anesthesia monitoring and patient assessment
- Willing to further enhance technical skills
- Ability to thrive in a steady and often fast-paced environment
- Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues and pet parents
- Proven ability to keep accurate patient records
- Strong ability to problem-solve
- A love of pets, of course!
