We’re seeking a driven, forward-thinking General Manager to lead and grow a high-potential used car dealership with $2M+ in inventory and significant untapped volume. This is not a maintenance role—this is for a builder and operator ready to take the reins and scale a store with the backing of a well-established auto group (15+ years in business).
This store has its own finance portal, full support systems, and a clear path for expansion. You’ll have the autonomy to lead—and the group resources to win.
️ What You’ll Be Doing
- Build and lead a retail team from the ground up
- Source, stage, and market inventory to maximize ROI and speed to market
- Oversee desking, deal structuring, trade appraisals, and closing support
- Guide the sales team through high-performance strategies and daily coaching
- Partner with finance, reconditioning, and digital marketing teams
- Manage KPIs, budget, and profitability with a hands-on, strategic approach
- Represent and grow the dealership brand in the local community and online
✅ You Bring
- 5+ years of automotive leadership experience, ideally in high-volume or independent used car operations
- Strong understanding of retail automotive operations: desking, appraisals, sourcing, reconditioning, and F&I workflows
- Experience with online retail, inventory platforms, and CRM/DMS systems
- A hands-on leadership style and the ability to build a team culture from scratch
- Proven track record of growing sales volume and profitability
- Entrepreneurial mindset, high energy, and relentless drive to win

About Company of Cars
Company of Cars is a dynamic wholesale auto group and luxury retailer with offices in Vancouver and Kelowna. After more than ten years honing our craft in the competitive automotive wholesale business we opened the doors of the first Company of Cars retail location in 2008. Originally located on the corner of Broadway and Quebec just outside downtown Vancouver, we moved our store and upgraded our facility in 2014. Our present location at 1502 Boundary Road on the Burnaby / Vancouver border is four times the size of our original location and incorporates a full service shop to help better service our clients. This stretch of boundary road is fast becoming one of the centers of automotive excellence in the Lower Mainland. We are proud to to call Brian Jessel BMW, Wolf Subaru, Destination Mazda, and both the Open Road Audi, and VW megastores our neighbours.
Although the facility, our inventory, and the host of services we offer to our clients may have evolved over the years we are still committed to the same values that have helped us find so much success, and make so many friends along the way.
