Job Summary
Oshawa Clinic Group is seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team in our diagnostic imaging department. This position will be responsible for providing administrative support in a medical clinic setting, ensuring smooth operations and excellent patient care. This role requires proficiency in patient communication, electronic medical records and familiarity with medical terminology, along with a friendly demeanor to assist patients effectively.
Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
· Serve as the first point of contact for patients accessing diagnostic imaging services, offering clear instructions and compassionate support throughout their visit.
· Schedule and confirm patient appointments across multiple imaging modalities, including X-ray, ultrasound, bone density and mammography.
· Accurately collect, verify, and update patient demographics, health records, and referral information.
· Patient scheduling via central booking phone lines and front desk registration
· Monitor patient flow to support optimal clinic operations, including managing wait times, prioritizing urgent cases, and assisting in emergent situations.
· Perform a variety of administrative duties such as billing assistance, inventory tracking, and organizing reports and documentation.
· Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics and standards of care.
· Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
· Previous experience in a clinical Diagnostic Imaging department is an asset
Additional Information:
· Position start date is July, 2025
· MOA’s hours would be approximately 7-8 hrs/ day Mon-Fri each week. Start time may vary between 7am and 9am depending on patient load and schedule
· MOA will be scheduled at all sites with Diagnostic Imaging services.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.69 per hour
