About the role

We are currently recruiting for a Bilingual Desk Adjuster - Level 3 to join our team in Quebec. The position location is flexible, and we can offer in-office, hybrid or fully remote working arrangements.

The successful candidate investigates, evaluates, negotiates, and settles claims by telephone, correspondence and when required through mediation (virtual or in person) and correspondence. Settling losses within delegated authority or reporting to clients while also directing field adjusters, experts and legal council on a task basis.

This role requires frequent interactions in English and requires reading and preparing documents in English on a frequent basis.

Nous recrutons actuellement un Expert en sinistres bilingue - Niveau 3 pour rejoindre notre équipe au Québec. Le lieu de travail est flexible et nous pouvons proposer des modalités de travail en bureau, hybrides ou entièrement à distance.

Le candidat retenu enquête, évalue, négocie et règle des réclamations par téléphone, correspondance et, si nécessaire, par médiation (virtuelle ou en personne) et correspondance. Il règle les pertes dans le cadre de l'autorité déléguée ou informe les clients tout en dirigeant les experts sur le terrain, les experts et le conseil juridique sur une base de tâche.

Ce rôle nécessite des interactions fréquentes en anglais et nécessite la lecture et la préparation fréquentes de documents en anglais.

  • Investigation, collection, and analysis of claims information
  • Accurate recording, reporting and presentation of files
  • Evaluates coverage, liability and quantum
  • Maintenance of accurate billing, and time and expense records
  • Negotiates, settles, and finalizes claims
  • File diary management
  • Work with manager to maintain client relations

Responsabilités (Français)

  • Enquête, collecte et analyse des informations sur les sinistres

  • Enregistrement, rapport et présentation précis des dossiers

  • Évalue la couverture, la responsabilité et le montant

  • Maintien d'une facturation précise et des enregistrements de temps et de dépenses

  • Négocie, règle et finalise les sinistres

  • Gestion du journal des dossiers

  • Travaille avec le responsable pour maintenir les relations avec les clients

  • Full professional bilingualism in French and English

  • Minimum 6 years of technical claims handling experience in multiline claims, complex claim handling, property claims, legal proceedings and litigation management

  • Commercial and personal AMF license

  • Experience with TPA and London Market claims is preferred

  • Post Secondary education in an insurance related field will be considered an asset

  • Strong computer and reporting skills including Office 365 and Windows 10

  • A team player with outstanding customer service skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical and mathematical ability

  • Able to manage multiple priorities

  • Strong PC skills including application based skills

  • Complete continuing education courses as required by Crawford and Company, province, or professional trade association

Qualifications (Français)

  • Bilinguisme professionnel complet en français et anglais.
  • Minimum de 6 ans d'expérience en gestion de sinistres techniques dans des sinistres multi-lignes, gestion de sinistres complexes, sinistres immobiliers, procédures légales et gestion des litiges.
  • Licence AMF commerciale et personnelle.
  • Une expérience avec les sinistres TPA et du marché londonien est préférable.
  • Une éducation post-secondaire dans un domaine lié aux assurances sera considérée comme un atout.
  • Solides compétences informatiques et de reporting, y compris Office 365 et Windows 10.
  • Un joueur d'équipe avec d'excellentes compétences en service à la clientèle.
  • Excellentes compétences en communication verbale et écrite.
  • Forte capacité analytique et mathématique.
  • Capacité à gérer plusieurs priorités.
  • Solides compétences en informatique, y compris des compétences basées sur des applications.
  • Suivre des cours de formation continue comme l'exigent Crawford and Company, la province ou l'association professionnelle.
