About the role
Transdev Canada is hiring a Certified Class 2 driving Instructor!
As a Certified Class 2 driving Instructor, you will be responsible for training new and current school bus drivers, ensuring they are well-versed in our health and safety policies and procedures. Using the Alberta government approved curriculum. You will conduct driver evaluations, assist drivers in obtaining necessary licenses, and promote safe driving practices. Your role is crucial in maintaining our high standards of safety and customer service. Additionally, you’ll perform the role of a School Bus Driver when not training the rest of the team.
Your Role:

Conduct driver evaluations.

Train new and current school bus drivers on health and safety policies.

Assist drivers in obtaining a Class 2 license with an S endorsement.

Practice defensive driving and promote safe driving habits.

Manage student behavior according to company policies and report any issues.

Complete necessary paperwork.

Attend and participate in all company safety meetings.

Follow all of Transdev’s standards, policies, and procedures.

Perform other responsibilities or tasks as requested or required.

Your Profile:

Valid provincial Class 2 Driver Instructor License or higher required.

Clean driver's abstract, clear criminal background check, and Vulnerable Sector .

Previous training experience is an asset.

Cheerful and positive demeanor with a “can-do” approach.

You must be able to pass drug and alcohol testing.

Uphold a strong commitment to safety, coupled with excellent customer service and communication abilities.

The schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, with hours subject to change based on operational business needs.
