1 ‑ Full Time ‑ Clinical Informatics Specialist
Health Information Services
Works collaboratively with team members and users to provide leadership and insight into the improvement of health
information systems. Positions in this role align health information systems such as Meditech with clinical practice by
applying clinical expertise to optimize electronic systems, support end users, and enhance patient care delivery
through data driven decision making. Additionally, the CIS Informatics Specialist is well versed in clinical/hospital
processes.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience:
* A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in the field of nursing.
* Must be a member of and hold current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
* A minimum of 3 years clinical experience with in depth knowledge of clinical service delivery in an hospital
environment, clinical standards of care, and best practice guidelines
* Experience in a hospital/diagnostic environment
Skills/Abilities:
* Strong communication skills that effectively promote the vision, values and mission of the organizations supported
by IS/IT and the IS/IT strategic plan
* Teaching Skills
* Computer skills
* Planning and project management skills
* Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at one time
Assets:
* Current knowledge in related field
* Knowledge and capabilities in building and maintaining computer applications
* Knowledge of policies, procedures, standards and best practice guidelines
* Knowledge of Microsoft 365 software including Word, Excel and Project
* ITIL Foundations Certification
* PMP Certification
Salary Range: $49.998 to 58.819
