Role

We’re looking for a dynamic, meticulous Media Buying / Marketing Representative, to join ourcteam. Reporting to the Activation and Engagement Manager, you’ll be a key player in ourcperformance-driven environment, working closely with the Direct Buying and Content Marketing Specialist. Your main responsibilities will involve supporting the planning, tracking and booking of our campaigns. From reviwing proposals and negotiating agreements to meticulously managing contracts, your analytical mind and market knowledge will directly contribute to the success of our strategies. Your excellent interpersonal skills will ensure seamless communication with our partners and the efficient administrative execution of our marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Planning

  • Critically review media proposals from partners, ensuring they align with campaign objectives and allocated budgets.
  • Stay informed about trends and opportunities in the media buying market, sharing insights with in-house teams to inform strategies.

Organizing

  • Book ad placements with external partners, adhering to defined guidelines.
  • Negotiate ad placements within parameters set with the Specialist, aiming to secure the best possible conditions (rates, positioning, added value); finalize agreements.
  • Support the Specialist in liaising with media partners.
  • Maintain up-to-date work tools, including the campaign tracking table, partner contact list, budgets and performance reports.
  • Participate as needed in the online launch of ad campaigns across all platforms (DV360, Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, YouTube, Spotify, etc.).

Leading

  • Share all information with media planners needed to execute contracted external placements (specifications, delivery dates, etc.) and update reference documents.
  • Systematically gather and document information from partners (such as targeting options, formats and rates) in a shared reference tool.
  • Proactively inform the in-house team and media partners about any modifications in planning or execution (cancellations, delays, format changes, etc.) and propose solutions.
  • Share campaign materials (creatives, redirection links, tracking, etc.) with partners, ensuring file compliance, adherence to deadlines and co-ordination with teams.
  • Work with media planning, strategy and creative teams to ensure placements meet expectations and targeted KPIs.

Monitoring

  • Assist in preparing post-campaign reports by compiling proof of broadcast and performance data.
  • Ensure tracking parameters, pixels and UTMs are correctly integrated for monitoring campaign performance with partners.

This is a hybrid position with a mix of in-office and remote work; arrangements will be discussed with the manager per departmental guidelines. This is a full-time contract position for a period of 12 months. The position can be based in Montreal, Quebec or Ottawa.

Your profile:

Qualifications:

  • University degree in marketing, communications, business administration or a related field
  • One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within a marketing department or ad agency

Skills:

  • Excellent command of spoken and written French; bilingualism (English/French) a significant asset for negotiating with all partners
  • Strong proficiency in Google Workspace tools, particularly Google Sheets, for budget tracking and planning tool management
  • Analytical and negociation skill

Nice-To-Have Skills:

  • Direct experience in media buying or with an ad agency
  • Basic knowledge of advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, DV360, Meta Business Suite)
