THE POSITION

The Manager, Sales is responsible for leading and developing the sales team of the Stampeder Football Club. This role ensures the achievement of sales targets across all ticketing categories, manages high-value client relationships, and drives innovative sales strategies. The Manager will also oversee game day sales operations and contribute to the overall growth and success of the Club’s revenue goals.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Leadership & Team Management

  • Provide continuous leadership and support to all Stampeders Sales Executives.
  • Conduct weekly team meetings to review progress against targets.
  • Assist in hiring and onboarding of full-time and intern sales staff.
  • Deliver ongoing training, coaching, and motivation through incentives and contests.

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Set and monitor seasonal sales targets for season tickets, game day, game packs, groups and premium products.
  • Develop and implement creative sales programs to drive revenue in targeted stadium areas.
  • Source and distribute sales leads fairly and consistently among the team.
  • Present annual pricing strategies for group and premium products to Senior Management.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Provide daily sales reports in collaboration with the Ticketing and Customer Service Manager.
  • Generate weekly sales activity reports for the Director, Operations.
  • Maintain and present an Owner’s Report to the President of the Stampeder Football Club.

Client Relationship Management

  • Manage and grow 8–12 high-value client accounts.
  • Organize and host client engagement events such as breakfasts and lunches.
  • Ensure exceptional service and relationship management to drive client retention and growth.

Game Day Operations

  • Coordinate with vendors and Stadium Operations for all game day sales activations and events.
  • Host clients on the sidelines and in premium areas (suites, Red & White Club).
  • Oversee in-stadium sales activations and data capture initiatives.
  • Facilitate post-game client interactions and experiences.

Budget Management

  • Manage the sales expense budget for the Stampeder Football Club.

Other Duties

  • Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives as assigned.

  • Actively participate in safety programs and follow policies.

THE INDIVIDUAL

The ideal individual will have the following background:

  • Post-secondary education in Business Management or Business Administration.

  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a sales management role.

  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and exceed sales targets.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.

  • Passion for sports and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
