Summary
As an Inventory Manager at Below The Belt, you will play a vital role in overseeing inventory operations across our retail stores. This position is essential for ensuring that our stores are well-stocked with the latest trends and styles, contributing to our mission of providing exceptional customer experiences.
Responsibilities
- Input purchase orders in a timely manner with precision and accuracy.
- Maintain inventory data integrity.
- Carry out inventory consolidations, markdowns and markups.
- Create and format the store transfers document, looking out for unnecessary movement of products and implementing it at the store level.
- Removal and updating of of mins during store transfers.
- Creating mins for purchase orders prior to stock being received by the warehouse.
- Run daily, bi-weekly, monthly or any other reports needed.
- Support store level inventory inquiries, issues, and concerns.
- Track store level theft vouchers ensuring that the inventory has been properly taken out and the cost is added to inventory count shrinkage.
- Carry out inventory count, discrepancies, fixing all corrections to ensure the store inventory matches the POS software.
- Ensure product, transfers and vouchers accurately shows in the POS software.
- Matching receiving vouchers to invoices accurately, if required.
- Reviewing sales and inventory to change mins for top selling stores
- Assisting in periodic product buys and creating po’s, if required.
- May be required to assist in-store (sales, inv count, merchandising, stock, web) during inventory counts, staffing shortages, new store openings, or other, if required.
- Various other duties as assigned by the Controller or other senior managers located at the head office.
Work Environment:
- Salaried position with an irregular & flexible workweek based on business demands.
- Office based position with occasional interacting with the general public when required.
- Self-scheduled 40 to 44 hour, Sunday to Saturday workweek; 5 days per week & 8 hours per shift with a 30-minute unpaid break per shift.
- Sitting for up to 8 hours per day, ladder use and lifting heavy boxes up to 50 pounds while in-store.
Requirements
- Proven experience in inventory management or a related field in retail.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members across various departments.
- Familiarity with inventory management software is an asset.
