About the role
We are looking for a highly engaged, resilient and people-focused leader for the Manager, Agency Quality and Oversight within the Desjardins Agent Network. This is a unique and high-impact position that requires leading through influence, managing highly complex situations, and working to uphold the standards of compliance, conduct, and performance across the network of exclusive Desjardins Agents. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional communication, decision-making skills and a strategic mindset. You must thrive working in high-pressure situations with discretion and professionalism, and capable of navigating ambiguity. This role requires the ability to deliver executive level presentations and influence at all levels, including exclusive Agents and leadership. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality and, oversight of exclusive Agents and their employees. You will lead the enhanced control of operations for the division. You will work closely with legal, compliance, risk management, underwriting, the various lines of defence model and other internal partners as you lead sensitive investigations. More specifically, you will be required to:
- Demonstrate strong leadership and influence by guiding agent oversight activities within a contractual framework, ensuring alignment with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Apply sound judgment and discretion in managing complex, sensitive, and high stakes matters involving agent conduct, performance, and compliance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal partners such as Legal, Compliance, Risk, Underwriting, and Claims to assess risk, resolve issues, and uphold governance.
- Lead with clarity and confidence in emotionally charged situations, conducting difficult conversations and making decisions that balance fairness, accountability, and business impact.
- Navigate ambiguity with resilience, adapting to evolving priorities while maintaining focus on long-term quality and oversight objectives.
- Foster a culture of integrity and continuous improvement, promoting best practices and supporting Agent and employee development through education and performance guidance.

What you bring to the table
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- A minimum of ten years of relevant experience including four years of management experience
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Experience managing complex and sensitive matters
- Advanced knowledge of contractual frameworks and regulatory environments
- Intermediate knowledge of the Desjardins Agent Network, its structure, and strategic objectives
