Title: Traditional Wellness Coordinator
Salary: $88,948 - $104,644 - $120,341 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: 6-month term until June 30, 2025
Hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm (core hours 9am-3pm Monday-Friday)
Location: Park Royal Office, West Vancouver located on the ancestral Coast Salish Territories of the Squamish, Musqueam & Tsleil-Waututh Nations. Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway in Spring 2027.
About The Role As a Traditional Wellness Coordinator , you will play a vital role in developing and managing an integrated traditional wellness program that aligns with holistic Regional Health and Wellness Plans.
In this engaging role, you will work closely with First Nations communities to establish a network of traditional wellness workers, form an advisory group, and co-develop a regional traditional wellness strategy. Your leadership will help bridge cultural and community strengths, ensuring that traditional healing practices are accessible, valued, and integrated into health and wellness services.
Additionally, you will serve as a key resource in times of crisis, providing guidance and support in crisis management efforts across the region. If you're dedicated to cultural wellness, community collaboration, and making a meaningful impact, we invite you to join us in this important work!
About You To be successful in this role you will have / be:
- A minimum of diploma (Bachelor’s degree preferred), with demonstrated coursework in First Nations studies
- 5 years of significant, recent, and relevant lived experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience,
- Experience in the regional health authority systems/services/services, and in particular working with First Nations individuals, communities or organizations on issues related to health and wellness.
- Experience coordinating and delivering traditional wellness/medicine within community.

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.
Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.
The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
