Responsibilities What your days look like as a Helpdesk Technician :

  • Respond directly to user requests via phone, email, and chat to provide courteous and efficient support;
  • Assist in installation, configuration, support and ongoing usability of desktops, laptops, peripheral equipment and software complying with given standards and guidelines;
  • Maintain and resolve issues on LAN/WAN, VoIP telephone, videoconference, digital signage and other computing equipment;
  • Manage the deployment and support of remote mobile devices (iPhone, Android, handheld scanners, etc);
  • Maintain computer and equipment asset inventory;
  • Contribute to research and development of technical solutions;
  • Ensure that system, process and user documentation and diagrams are complete and up-to-date;
  • Contribute in maintaining all systems security compliance;
  • Participate in various integration and improvement projects;
  • Perform technical analyses and contribute to business proposals;

Qualifications To succeed as a Helpdesk Technician you must have:

  • 2 to 5 years’ experience in a relevant role;
  • DCS in Computer Science or equivalent;
  • Ability to communicate in English and French (verbal and written);
  • Good knowledge of Windows technology, including Active Directory, Group Policy, Office 365;
  • Good knowledge of network technology, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, VoIP;
  • Strong analytic skills and willingness to learn;
  • Good understanding of IT security concepts;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Ability to document processes and procedures;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Strong emphasis on teamwork;
