About the Role:
We're looking for a Social Video Lead to drive our short-form and mid-length social vertical video strategy across Facebook, TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Snapchat. Your mission will be to produce original vertical video for our creator brands in the factual space and take our award-winning long-form content and adapt it into compelling social-first experiences, from quick, attention-grabbing clips under 60 seconds to deeper vertical storytelling (5 minutes or more) optimized for smartphone viewing.
Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize, pitch, and produce innovative social video formats.
- Lead content adaptation from long-form series to short-form vertical content.
- Analyze content performance metrics, using insights to inform and rapidly iterate video strategies.
- Collaborate closely with writers, editors, producers, and on-screen talent to ensure content maximizes reach and revenue across all social channels.
- Stay ahead of social media trends and platform features, proactively suggesting formats and approaches that resonate with audiences.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience creating and scaling video content specifically for social platforms, preferably with a digital publisher or talent-driven environment.
- Proven track record of success with Facebook video, alongside measurable achievements on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Experience with Snapchat is a plus.
- Editing videos is second nature to you. You’re fluent in tools like Adobe Premiere, CapCut, and other industry-standard platforms, turning raw footage into polished stories with ease.
- Strong data literacy, able to interpret analytics to drive strategic decisions.
- Creative thinker with the ability to test and refine new content ideas rapidly.
- Growth-hacking mindset; double down where you find success.
- Excellent collaborative skills, experienced working closely with creative teams, talent, and stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of platform-specific algorithms, recommendation engines and video optimization strategies.
