About the role
Role Purpose JOB DESCRIPTION The Sales Coordinator provides critical support to the Freight Forwarding Commercial team by maintaining CRM data, tracking sales metrics, and preparing proposals, reports and presentations. This role helps ensure smooth coordination of sales activities and contributes to planning and decision-making through data analysis and administrative support. The Sales Coordinator helps streamline operations and enhance the effectiveness of Commercial Managers and Lead Managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate client records and CRM data (Dynamics), supporting Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and sales reporting.
- Track key sales metrics and KPIs and generate dashboards.
- Analyze and review customer reports to provide insights and support planning and decision-making.
- Follow standardized work instructions to ensure consistency and contribute to identifying process inefficiencies.
- Assist with onboarding new sales team members with necessary tools and information.
- Respond to Sales leadership inquiries, follow-ups, and escalate issues to sales reps as needed.
- Ensure timely follow-up on deadlines with the Sales Team.
- Ensure all sales activities comply with international trade regulations and company policies.
- Organize and support Commercial Manager reports and reviews for the Lead Manager.
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations for internal/external use, including sales presentations and quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
- Prepare proposal documentation (RFPs).
- Schedule and coordinate Sales meetings and client events.
- Support event or trade show preparation as needed.
- Maintain and organize the filing of documentation and Commercial communication.
Knowledge & Qualifications
- 2+ years’ experience in sales coordination, sales operations, or administrative support.
- Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Experience with CRM systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics).
- Experience conducting database reviews and supporting data-driven reporting.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of global trade and compliance requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.
- Knowledge of international freight forwarding or general logistics is an asset.
- Previous Canadian work experience or experience working with Canadian industries.
- Fluent in English.
