About the role
If you have experience working in a face-paced kitchen and are interested in joining our newly forming team, we want to hear from you. We are interested in applicants who have the following:
· Perform manual work in maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen
· Ability to work under the pressure of a busy kitchen, stay calm and work as part of our culinary team
· Organizational flair of your work area
· Work involves thorough cleaning of equipment and facilities to conform to proper sanitation standards, washes pot, pans, dishes and traps
· Maintains neat and clean appearance of working areas throughout the kitchen
· Other cleaning duties as assigned
· Prep ingredients as directed by the Sous Chefs
· Follow the guidance of the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs
· Enforce strict health and hygiene standards.
Applicants must be in Moncton NB to be considered for employment.
Duties:
- Clean and sanitize all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment
- Assist with food preparation and plating as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Empty trash and dispose of waste properly
- Assist cooks and other kitchen staff as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a hospitality or food service environment is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with coworkers
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
