Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring accuracy in financial documentation, including journal entries.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of basic accounting principles.

Role And Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
• Reconcile financial accounts as needed.
• Maintain accurate financial documentation and filing systems.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and statements.
• Verify accuracy of invoices, payments, and receipts.
• Respond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding financial transactions.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
• Perform general administrative tasks related to accounting.
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Qualifications And Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s degree in accounting or related field preferred).
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with journal entry preparation and posting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
• Knowledge of financial compliance standards.
