As our Senior Cook / Kitchen Manager, you'll be at the heart of our kitchen, blending your culinary expertise with strong leadership. You'll manage daily kitchen operations, from food preparation and cooking to presentation, ensuring every dish meets our high standards of quality and taste. Key Responsibilities
- Lead Kitchen Operations: Manage all aspects of daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
- Team Leadership & Training: Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff on best practices, food handling, and safety protocols.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all health and safety regulations, maintaining a pristine and organized kitchen.
- Menu Collaboration: Work with our culinary team to develop exciting new menu items that cater to customer preferences and dietary needs.
- Inventory & Cost Management: Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs efficiently to meet budgetary goals.
- Quality Control: Implement rigorous quality control measures to guarantee the highest standards of food quality and taste.
- Staff Scheduling: Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor costs effectively.
- Problem Solving: Address any kitchen-related issues promptly to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations.
What We're Looking For
- Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience in the food industry, especially in a restaurant or food service setting.
- Food Safety Expertise: In-depth knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Culinary Passion: Excellent cooking skills combined with a passion for meal preparation and culinary creativity.
- Strong Leader: Ability to effectively lead, motivate, and mentor kitchen staff.
- Organizational Prowess: Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen management.
- Clear Communicator: Excellent communication skills to interact seamlessly with team members and other departments.
- Flexibility: Adaptability to work various shifts as needed in a dynamic environment.
Job Types: Part-time, Casual, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
