Position Overview

As Pro Shop Associate, you will assist in the day-to-day operations of the Pro Shop while ensuring that our guests enjoy their experience. You greet our guests as soon as they walk through the door and create that authentic personal connection that lets them know how special they are. You work exceptionally well under pressure and enjoy a fast-paced, multi-faceted operation. With a focus on servicing others, you take pride in service excellence and infuse enthusiasm in everything you do.

• Customer Interaction: Take pleasure in interacting with golfers and customers, offering exceptional customer service with a friendly and welcoming demeanor. Enjoy assisting them with their golf-related needs and inquiries.
• Golf Culture: Embrace the world of golf, including its traditions, rules, and etiquette. Enjoy discussing golf-related topics and being part of the golf community.
• Retail Sales: Find satisfaction in providing golf equipment, apparel, and accessories to customers. Enjoy assisting customers in making informed purchasing decisions and maintaining a well-organized pro shop.
• Transaction Management: Skilfully collecting payments, processing credit cards, recording sales transactions, and issuing accurate receipts.
• Product Knowledge: Have an interest in golf equipment, apparel, and accessories, and enjoy staying informed about the latest products and trends in the golf industry to assist customers effectively.

Preferred qualifications and skills:

• High school diploma
• Positive attitude and excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle multiple duties under pressure
• Ability to focus attention on guests needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Ability to work flexible hours - weekends and evenings as required
• Highly responsible & reliable

Requirements of the role you should be aware of:

• Based on the nature of our business and the service we provide to our guests, to work with us, you must consent to a criminal background check as a condition of employment and an additional criminal background check every two years.
• As a seasonal resort business, you can anticipate a schedule that will involve day, evening, night, and weekend work.
• Long hours moving around, walking, sitting, standing, and crouching while performing other duties is to be expected
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and otherwise moving luggage, golf clubs, and objects up to 50 lbs in weight
• To best perform these responsibilities, employees must be able to communicate face-to-face and, on the phone.
• Constant focus and repetitive work are to be expected
• Based on the nature of this position, you would experience long periods of guest interactions
• Ability to manage timeline pressures and constraints
